day 18: how to get rid of fruit flies from my "current CT house updates" board

last summer we had our occasional fruit fly in the kitchen, so i figured this year i would nip it in the bud!
a small cup of apple cider vinegar and a few drops of dish detergent placed in the area where fruit flies have been found in the past will hopefully do the trick!

This brings back bad memories! I took genetics lab in college last semester and we studied fruit flies. After we were done studying the flies, we had to dispose of them. We made a ton of these "fly morgues" similar to what you did. Now I think I'm scarred for life.
