So, this weekend, I had the wonderful opportunity to spend time with some amazing friends in Boston. Friday I was with my college friends and on Saturday I got to see my first ever best friend. It was great!
Now, why am I getting old, you ask?
1. We graduated two years ago. I finally don't feel like a "college kid" anymore. We all have real jobs [or are finishing grad or law school - I have smart friends] and everyone is just so grown up AND HAPPY, which is fantastic!
2. Katie [who I spent Saturday with] and I have been friends for 22 years... how crazy is that? I would have to say we laugh just as loud as we did when we were giggling little girls!
Seriously, how excellent were we?
3. I am SO out of date with technology. I guess my job, spending time teaching kids at camp [who are anywhere from 5 to 13] is wearing on my technology skills and knowledge. On Friday, my friends introduced me to SO MANY new apps. You've all probably heard of all of them, but I am obsessed and thought I'd share!
- Snapchat - Cracks me up! Sooo many selfies and fun messages. And best part? After 5 seconds there's no proof :)
- Foursquare - I love seeing the random names of places. I haven't really "checked in" yet, but I got it!
- Starbucks app - I love that you can put your giftcards on it [and never lose them again!] or even PayPal money on it and swipe it at the register. There are also rewards and a store finder! Oh, and I tried the new Mocha Cookie Crumble frap, too - AHmazing.
- Spotify - I've seen this on the right side of my Facebook feed forever, but I finally decided to give it a try. I really like the selection so far!

This is going to make me sound old... what is Spotify? That Mocha Cookie Crumble frap looks sooooo good!
I don't understand or use a lot of new apps, either...I really don't even care for "apps" and smartphones altogether! I kind of miss the days when phones just took pictures, text-messaged, and made calls.
I've actually heard of all of that (don't know how to use them, but that's not the point). I graduated college 5 years ago. Talk about old! I love Boston though! I'm ready for another visit.
I definitely love the Starbucks app! I love using the locator when I am in a new area to find the closest location:)
I am so glad you were able to see your friends! Sounds like a fun time. xo
love the hippies pic!
