When Mike was young, he and his family used to spend each Columbus Day weekend at Camp Calumet in New Hampshire. They haven't been there for a few Octobers, but I did have a chance to go with the whole family a couple of Christmases ago. When his mom passed away, it seemed fitting to go back this year, to spend time as a family, and bring her ashes to Calumet's memorial chapel. It really was a beautiful weekend, and I loved getting to spend time as a family.
Camp Calumet... this is NOT the unheated cabin Mike stayed in when he was young... it was GORGEOUS!
first floor with bedrooms upstairs
Dad and kids at the top of Jackman's Ridge
We also visited a farm to pick some apples so we can make his mom's family applesauce next weekend.
... I ate like 5 at the orchard...
My maid of honor!!
Visiting the lake at Camp
On the way home, we decided to detour to the Kancamagus Pass.

Wow, looks like full time fall up there right now! Our trees are still looking pretty green but New Hampshire is looking gorgeous! I really want to go to an apple orchard, I love all the pictures you took. And the one with your ring in the sand. And the last one with you and Mike! Okay, I love them all! :D Glad you had a great time!
I love these pictures! The leaves are beautiful and I love that shot with the pumpkins :). Camp Calumet looks like an amazing place to be this time of year. I went to NH in July and all I could think of was how great it'd be go to back in the fall!
Those views and scenery are gorgeous! I love special family moments like that and even though Mike's mom wasn't able to be there with y'all, I have no doubt her presence was felt!
Wow was a beautiful way to spend the weekend.
