Mike was a couple minutes behind me, so I got to snap these as he was crossing the finish line!
After the 5k [and showers], we rewarded ourselves with apple cider and apple fritters at the local cider mill.
My new bffs!!!
If you're looking for more apple-goodness, check out my guest post today on Northeast Bloggers!
I hope you all have a happy Halloween! This is the first time living in Connecticut that I get a real Halloween ON Halloween. In 2011 we had that crazy snow storm and in 2012, we had Hurricane Sandy. I can't wait to see how many trick-or-treaters we get!

I am LOVING y'all's costumes!! ahh!! Glad y'all had fun. For a second, I read MS and thought you did a Mississippi race lol, that was absurd of course and I got back to reality (where I didn't get mad at you for coming to MS without telling me lol). I think I need an Apple Cider mill in my backyard... I've never been to one, didn't even know they existed until people talked about them through blogging. Enjoy your Halloween and thank goodness the East Coast is safe this year!
That is friggin adorable omg! How awesome to have a spooky themed 5k. Are you guys doing anything tonight?
I love this 5k! I think it's such a cool idea.
