Growing up in Rhode Island, seafood was everywhere, and it's always been my favorite! Gorton's, a New England company since 1849, serves quality seafood to help people live happier, healthier lives. Gorton's has a wide range of products from your typical beer-battered fillets to health-conscious grilled fish, and popcorn shrimp to my personal favorite, which you actually saw yesterday, shrimp scampi!
Their newest creation is a line of Artisan Fillets. They can be found in Roasted Garlic & Italian Herb, Lemon & Cracked Peppercorn, Southwest Tortilla, and Southern Style varieties. Just like all Gorton's products, Artisan Fillets are now available in your grocer's freezer. I had the pleasure of trying this new line of fillets.
Our absolute favorite was the Southwest Tortilla Alaska Pollock fillet. Each fillet has only 150 calories and has a delicious coating of crushed tortilla chips and Tex-Mex spices. I cannot even describe how delicious they were! After baking as instructed, the coating was incredibly crispy and the fish was nice and flaky. I especially like the little kick of spices at the end of each bite. To quote Mike, "This is my new favorite thing ever!" We are definitely making this a go-to meal.
As a side dish, I made Mexican street corn, one of our favorites we first tried last year in Florida. I found the recipe on Pinterest [of course], and now you can get even more seafood inspiration when you follow Gorton's Seafood on Pinterest! What a delicious meal we had!
Womp womp... no fresh corn yet in New England, but this steamed corn was actually really good! Also, Cotija cheese is nowhere in regular grocery stores up here, but luckily, it was available at Whole Foods!
mid-prep
Well, Pinterest gave me the ingredients for the street corn, but not proportions... so this time was a little lime. In case you're wondering here's what I would add to each the middle and top layer of street corn topping: 1/8 teaspoon chili powder, 3-4 drops of lime juice, and 1/2 teaspoon cotija.
The finished products!
Now, Gorton's and I want you to try their deliciousness for yourself! Enter my giveaway below to receive two full-price Gorton's coupons [good for any Gorton's product and each approximately a $10 value] and a Gorton's cutting board!

I know it is like a religion in New England to eat fish but I don't like it. I do remember eating fish sticks as a kid though and it was always Gordon's brand.
