A weekend for the books, here in Charleston!
Saturday - life bucket list: Every year, Hootie and the Blowfish (Darius, Mark, Dean, and Soni) come back to Charleston to host a school supply drive for kids in the city, "Hootie Homegrown." My organization is lucky enough to be one of the vendors, and in return for volunteering my time, the organizers gave me two tickets to the concert: general admission right in front of the stage. They played all the favorites and even some covers: "It's the End of the World as We Know It" and "Champagne Supernova." Honestly, though, the best best best part of the night was when they played my FAVORITE song "What Do You Want From Me Now." Darius prefaced it saying it's a little known song but his favorite. Then, he was walking around the stage singing, he spotted me as almost the only person singing along and came over and sang to me. It was magic and I was in heaven. So yeah, definitely checking this one off my life bucket list of favorite childhood bands I've seen in concert. Elton John, Billy Joel, No Doubt, Goo Goo Dolls, Maroon 5, and The Beach Boys have already been checked off, and still a few to go like Matchbox 20 and Third Eye Blind.
Sunday - summer bucket list: When Mike's cousins stayed with us over Easter, they bought us a parasailing trip for two as a thank you - awesome gift, right? Well, we finally took advantage and spent the morning 800 feet in the air! The views of Isle of Palms and the whole city of Charleston were amazing!

You seriously had an amazing weekend. I love that our bands are so similar, The Goo Goo Dolls are my moms favorite so I have seen them over 20 times. 2 Years ago when they toured with Matchbox was amazing, easily one of the best concerts I have ever been to. Third Eye Blind is also amazing!
