Friday and Saturday, we tried to make the most the nice weather before it turned cold with time at the driving range to work on some golf swing changes. Afterwards on Friday, we headed back to our neighborhood for Food Truck Friday. We got the lobster havarti grilled cheese from Immortal Lobster and relived a little bit of Hawaii with shave ice from Pacific Sun. Both were amazing. We ended up staying in and drinking bourbon with our neighbor since we knew we'd be up early for St. Patrick's Day festivities the following day.
On Saturday, half of our friends were headed to Folly Beach for their St. Patrick's pub crawl and the other half were in the Park Circle area for their block party and parade. So, we obviously did both. We drank lots of delicious Guinness and green Bud Light.
We also made a stop downtown to Marion Square to check out the progress on Charleston Fashion Week. It begins this Tuesday, and one of our neighbors does all of the lighting. We got a behind-the-scenes tour of all the tents, and you might have even noticed on snapchat that I walked the runway for the first (and probably only!) time ever. I can't wait for the shows this week!
For dinner on Saturday, Mike decided to make one of the ridiculous things he'd seen all over Twitter: Cheddar Bay Chick-fil-A sandwiches. Yup, a Chick-fil-A chicken patty in between delicious Red Lobster Cheddar Bay biscuits. If you want to make your biscuits from scratch, I shared a recipe waaayy long ago here, but we opted for the cop-out boxed biscuits you can find at grocery stores. Seriously, either recipe tastes just like Red Lobster, and these sandwiches were worth the hype.
Sunday morning (after sleeping in way too late - thanks, time change), I decided to go a little crazy again with the cooking and put together some rainbow toast. I've also seen it called mermaid toast or unicorn toast, and a freezing, rainy day was perfect for some bright colors and sprinkles. After finding photos all over the internet, I especially loved this one. I didn't use natural coloring like she did, but food color in cream cheese. Cinnamon raisin swirl bread is my favorite, and this cream cheese made it extra delicious.
The rest of our Sunday was spent doing a few errands, finally hanging our tv on the wall in the living room, and catching up on some DVR-d shows. Looks like the weather will be steadily warming up throughout the week, and hopefully by next weekend, we'll be back close to reasonably normal temperatures. Linking up with Biana today for Weekending!

I can't believe the crazy weather everyone has been getting lately. I thought spring was right around the corner! Sounds like you had a great weekend and those cheddar bay chicken biscuits?! OMG, I'm dying. <3, Pamela Sequins & Sea Breezes
The weather has been so odd - we're in the 60's this week in Florida!
What a fun way to spend the weekend!! I'm pretty happy that we were able to make it out before the snow storm, although LA is pretty chilly but I'm not complaining at all! xo, Biana -BlovedBoston
We have been having colder weather too and I'm not a fan haha! Come on Mother Nature get it together!
Omg I'm DROOLING over those Chick Fila/Red Lobster sandwiches! Please send some north!
Those CFA/Red Lobster sandwiches look amazing and so does that unicorn toast!! A Pub Crawl sounds like the best way to celebrate St. Patty's Day too!!
Chick fil a and red lobster biscuits...might need to try that!
That unicorn toast looks so fun! This cold weather needs to vacate!
The unicorn toast reminds me of the most unhealthy thing I used to make growing up where we'd put peanut butter on toast and then dye sugar a bunch of colors and pile the sugar on the toast in fun patterns and creations. So cool you were able to go behind the scenes before fashion week starts- can't wait to hear more about it.
What a fun weekend! It's so cool that you were able to walk the runway and get a behind the scenes tour. A havartti lobster grilled cheese sounds delicious, as do the other crazy meals you had!
It sounds like your weekend was beyond fun! We were actually in Charleston last year during Fashion Week and I wish that we'd had the time to see some of the shows. That pub crawl sounds like such a blast!
That rainbow toast is too cute! Yay for Charleston Fashion Week! Hope it warms up - it's bitter here in NC too and I'm ready for our spring to come back!

I need to remember the unicorn toast thing for when my grand sons come up to visit :)
So fun peeking at Fashion Week before it starts! And um - YUM to that chick-fil-a/red lobster combo!
Yumm! Those cheddar biscuits with chick-fil-a chicken sounds delightful! Sounds like a great weekend was had with some yummy treats in there!
So while we didn't partake in the festivities in Park Circle on Saturday, we did go to Madra Rua for brunch on Sunday. The waitress had to apologize like a dozen times for how long we were waiting for food... her reasoning? "Um, so we had this really big block party yesterday and everyone is either hungover... or called in sick. We're a little slow today." Sounds like it must have been a fun event!
WHAT. I need that sandwich in my life immediately!
