HAPPY MASTERS WEEK ONE AND ALL! As you read this, Mike and I are heading into the gates on Washington Road for the first practice round of 2017. Last time we went to The Masters, it was a competition day, so no cameras allowed. Today, I cannot wait to take tons of photos and share them with y'all later this week!
It's also my half birthday, so there are many reasons to celebrate. I have the most delicious cocktail to share with y'all that I made for the first time during last year's tournament. Obviously, watching golf in the morning is the perfect excuse to start drinking early, so I took my favorite morning drink (the almighty mimosa) and added a little Georgia Peach flair to it, since the Masters does take place in Augusta, Georgia, after all.
Ingredients:
- 2 ounces of peach vodka
- 2 ounces of triple sec or peach schnapps (depending if you want more peach or orange flavor in your drink)
- 4 ounces of orange juice
- 1 scoop of peach ice cream
- champagne
Directions:
1. In a cup, combine the vodka, triple sec or peach schnapps (or both - go crazy!), and orange juice. Stir well.
2. Top with the scoop of ice cream.
3. Fill the cup up to the brim with champagne.
There you have it! Anyone else throwing a green and azalea-themed party this weekend? If so, I'll be sharing tons of ideas for you on Friday!

Yum! Hope that you're having a great day down in Augusta and that the storms hold off long enough for y'all to enjoy the practice round!

That drink sounds absolutely yummy! Can't wait to hear all about your time and see the pictures!
Have so much fun at the Masters this weekend, I mean how could you not, right? And this looks so delicious! I love how the mimosa is just a slight twist on an original!
Oh my!!! This sounds amazing!
Sounds amazing for brunch or even dessert! I've never tried peach vodka but this cocktail sounds like a nice treat for the weekend!
No green and azalea party but we will be at the AzaleaFest this weekend. Kind of the same, right? haha. Enjoy your celebrations! I can't wait to see your photos!
A tradition!! My boss goes every year to them. Huge golf fan he is! This looks so yummy.
I don't follow golf but occasionally we will have it on the TV...But I didn't realize you couldn't take pics anytime you wanted when watching a professional game? Interesting...
Yum!! This takes mimosas to a whole new level!
We're moving to Augusta this summer (again), so we'll be there for The Masters next year!
