Falling for Charleston

Happy almost-Halloween!  This weekend turned into an adventure.  We had a few plans, not a whole lot, but that all changed when Mike went to close our front windows on Friday night/Saturday morning.  It was around 12:15am, and Mike came into our room to ask if I wanted to meet a pup.  Of course I said yes, and there he was, a tiny little dude, smaller than our cats, whimpering outside.  Dog lovers, I'm sorry for the cringing you're about to do reading this, but I lured him into Shadow's harness with some bacon and gave him a blanket and cat food in our garage.  We spent the day on Saturday meeting neighbors, asking if they'd seen this little nugget before, and went for a long walk around the historic downtown to wear him out.
I always love to see fall decor around town.  It's so adorable and simple and it gives the best little pop of color to these beautiful homes.  If you saw my Instagram on Friday, I am in love with Black Tap Coffee's candy corn lattes right now, and we might have stopped for another one since it's right in the perfect, walkable spot downtown.
And come on, how adorable is this little dude??  As I write this right now, he is on the couch, asleep on one side of me, while Roxy (who is literally 3x his size) is asleep on the other.  She is warming up to him, but I swear, we only brought him in because it's getting into the 30s here tonight!  We cannot keep him (and I'll keep repeating this to myself - haha).
At our home, I totally jumped on the pumpkin-stacking trend this year and bought these cuties at Publix to go alongside my painted Teal Pumpkin Project pumpkin.  We bought a few pencils and stickers for kids who are participating.  I also have to admit, I didn't take any photos inside our home because our interior decor looks exactly same as last year (and you can click here to see that).
All day Sunday was spent making posters to hang up at our neighborhood mailboxes to try and find his owner, as well as more golf cart rides.  Little dude, who Mike named Taco, (still not keeping him) loves the golf cart!

I bet Charleston is the best during Halloween! It looks like everyone goes all out with the decor. And that pup is so cute! I hope you guys are able to find his owners soon, I'm sure they're missing him! <3, Pamela Sequins & Sea Breezes

He's seriously so adorable, and that's so awesome that you're trying to find his owner! As a dog lover, I know that I'd be frantically searching for my fur baby and would hope that somebody like you would find him! If you haven't had the time yet, you can also take him to a vet to see if he's microchipped!

Aww so glad he showed up on your steps so you can take care of him while he's lost (or in need of a new home)!

I know you aren't keeping him but he looks so happy with y'all. And he looks like a Taco. Love all the pumpkins and doorway scenes. Charleston is on my list, I cannot believe I have never been.

Ditto to what Missy said...I've been dying to visit Charleston and I imagine is gorgeous this time of year plus the old history would make for a fun trick-or-treating spot! Emily @ Martinis & Bikinis

I found a lost kitty, an awesome one, who I was SURE we would find the owner in a day or so... that was almost two months ago now. So sad. You're doing such a great job caring for the lil guy! <3
